The biggest news of the week in football: The latest on a few players who will play at the 2019 NFL draft
On Wednesday, the NFL released its 2019 draft board, which revealed the top five players from the first round of the 2019 draft, including four first-round picks.
Among the four, one was wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, who was the only one to make the list from the draft class of 2019.
In the first two rounds, the draft was filled with talent at wide receiver, including LSU wideout Leonard Fournette, Alabama cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Florida cornerback Marshon Lattimore.
The first round also featured Ohio State quarterback Connor Cook, Michigan State running back Ezekiel Elliott, Oregon wide receiver Devin Funchess and Alabama linebacker A’Shawn Robinson.
In round three, the Packers and Jets added four first round picks.
In round four, the Cowboys added four, and the Lions added three.
Round 5: QB Jameis WinstonThe Cowboys were able to add the No. 2 overall pick, but they’re also bringing back another one of the top quarterbacks in the draft.
According to NFL.com’s Mike Garafolo, the Green Bay Packers have agreed to a contract with Wisconsin quarterback Jameel McClain, according to the Dallas Morning News.
McClain is the No and No. 10 picks of the 2018 NFL draft.
The 6-foot-5, 220-pound passer from Wisconsin led Wisconsin to a 9-4 record in his rookie season and is the top overall pick of the NFL draft, according, per ESPN.
The Cowboys are now officially in the process of trading their pick to the Packers.
